I can’t believe that we are almost done with 2018. This last year has definitely been a rollercoaster of emotions for me. I have had a lot of happen in my life that has rocked the boat a little but I am slowly gaining my self confidence back. Here are the biggest things that happened in my life in 2018.
- I moved into my first family home.
- I became a single mum.
- My little princess turned 1.
- I started working again after 1 year of maternity leave.
2018 was a pretty big year for me but I am hoping to make 2019 even better. I have set myself a few goals for the new year that I feel will help me become not only a better mum to my daughter but also a happier and healthier person. So here are my goals for 2019.
1- To take better care of myself
Let’s be honest as soon as we have a baby probably about 90% of us stop taking as good care of ourselves as we did before the baby arrived. I am part of that 90%. I stopped caring about the way I looked and dressed and I also stopped caring about what I was eating and putting into my body. This has caused me to gain a few extra unwanted pounds. This in no way means I think I am fat because I am happy with my weight but I am not happy with how unhealthy I have become. So 2019 it’s all about taking care of me. I will make more of an effort with my appearance and also be more conscious about what I am eating and drinking.
2- Enjoy my daughter more
What I mean by that is to spend more quality time with her and only her. Put the phone and gadgets away and just spend time playing together.
3- Move forward emotionally
Becoming a single mum was not easy for me. Ending the relationship between myself and my daughters dad was a mutual decision and something that needed to happen in order for us to get to where we are today. Even though we are not in a romantic relationship we still remain the best of friends and still are and always will be a family. We co-parent very well and respect each other. He will always be special to me because he made my dream of becoming a mim true and for that I will remain eternally grateful to him.
4- Achieve financial stability
Achieving financial stability is something that is very important to me as a single mum. I want to be able to ensure that I can give my daughter everything in life. So this year i will teach myself to budget and make wiser decision when it comes to my finances.
5- Put more effort into my blog
My blog was always just been a hobby to me but in the last few months I have been thinking of attempting to pursue it as a career path. I know this will take time and a lot of hard work but I am determined to make my blog a way to bring in some extra income.
So those are my goals for 2019. What are your goals? Let me know in the comments below.
Hope you guys have had a wonderful year and Happy New Year to you all!! Let’s make 2019 the best year yet….
