This year is my first single Valentine’s Day in 6 years and I am really looking forward to it. I thought I was going to struggle with this day now that I don’t have a partner but I’m actually really excited for Valentines Day because I am planning a mother & daughter Valentine’s Day for me and my little princess.
So I thought it would be a fab idea to share what I have planned with you and hopefully if you are a single mum just like me and are having a tough time with Valentine’s Day this post will help you see the light in the situation and enjoy the day. So here goes..
Special Valentines Breakfast
I plan on making a fancy breakfast for me and baby V complete with all our favourite things. So we will be having heart shaped pancakes with strawberries and blueberries. Pink milk for baby V and coffee for mama. Basically take your and your babies favourite breakfast foods and cut them into heart shapes. Simple, cute and fun!
Make & Decorate Sugar cookies
Baby V is only 1 so she of course won’t be able to do much when it comes to the baking but I’m sure she will have tons of fun decorating her cookies. Here is the sugar cookie recipe I use. It’s super quick and simple.
Put up cute decorations
I want baby V to feel as special as she is and I want her to have fun. I know that she will love seeing lots of sparkly hearts and decorations around the house. I will try to remember to get some cute pictures to show you guys.
Dress up
We will both be putting on some cute dresses ready for our fancy dinner.
Mother & Daughter dinner date
I will be making us a cute little valentines themed dinner but I’m not sure what to do yet but here are a few that I like the sound of.
- Heart Shaped mini pizzas
- Creamy tomato soup with heart shaped grilled cheese sandwiches
- Heart shaped chicken pies
Cuddle and a Movie
Then the last thing we will be doing is watching a movie together on the sofa with popcorn and chocolate. Baby V loves the princess diaries movies so thats what we will probably watch.
What have you guys got planned for Valentines Day? Let me know in the comments..
XOXO

This is honestly so lovely! When my parents split up, I always felt bad for my Dad on V day so I would always try and make it special for him like this. I hope you and baby V have a lovely day xxx
